Hasten to marry: the advice of Shaykh al-Fawzān
The question
A listener from Riyadh says he wishes to marry, if Allah permits. He made this decision after several years had gone by, and he asks Shaykh Sālih al-Fawzān (may Allah preserve him) for advice.
The Shaykh's answer
We advise you to hasten to marry in order to preserve your chastity, to lower your gaze, to protect the woman as well, and so that Allah may grant you children. That is the fruit of marriage.
So hasten to do it, and choose a virtuous wife, upright in her religion and in her behaviour, who suits you. The Prophet ﷺ said:
"A woman is married for four things: her wealth, her beauty, her lineage and her religion. Choose the one with religion, and you will prosper!" — Sahih Al-Bukhari & Muslim
Religion gathers all that is good, in a woman as in everyone else.
